Heart to Heart Warm Cinnamon Oat Cereal:

MMM, how I love this cereal!  In terms of taste, Kashi definitely doesn’t skimp on the cinnamon flavor, which is great.  Not only does it pair wonderfully with milk, but also with yogurt, and my favorite…applesauce.  Exibit A:
The texture kinda reminds me of a cruncy Cheerio but that’s about as close as it gets.  The box is covered with claims of reducing cholesterol (can’t say that I’ve noticed a difference there, however, I do have extremely high cholesterol for a healthy, active girl in her 20’s.  Weird I know.)  In terms of statistics, it’s low in calories at 120  per 3/4 cup.  I do, however, prefer a cereal that is higher in protein with this one only containing 4g per serving.  Shucks.
Overall: 4 out of 5 stars!

I’d like to compare this cereal to my perfect pair of jeans.  Ya know, the ones that go with any top, any shoe, the one that makes your butt look good and are oh-so comfy.  This is THAT cereal!  Perfect in every way!  Taste is fabulous!  It’s sweet, but not too sweet.  I also love the variety in this cereal.  There are “fiber twigs”, “soy protein grahams”, and “honey puffs”, all with a very distinct texture and flavor.  The “fiber twigs” are my favorite (especially when 3 or 4 of them get stuck together…if you’ve had the cereal you’ll know what I mean).  The honey puffs remind me of Smacks that I used to eat as a kid. And to be quite honest, the soy protein grahams taste like absolutely nothing.

LOVE the stats for this one!!  13g or protein and 10 g of fiber!  SCORE!!  If you wanna stay full for a LONG time, this cereal is the way to go!  Stays crunchy in milk, yogurt, or just about anything you want to mix with it.  Oh, and it’s also good all on its own.  That’s a plus, but kinda messy at the same time.

Overall: 4.9 out of 5 stars

Nut Butters

Almond Naturally More:

There is one major difference between Naturally More almond butter and most other almond butters.  Naturally More contains flax seed which add a unique textural contrast compared to the smooth, creamy almond butter base.  If you’re one of those people who hate dealing with stirring nut butter that has separated, then this is not the almond butter for you.  Think of it this way, stirring nut butter=calories burned.  Problem solved.  Ingredients are all pronouncable: almonds, flax seed (cruncy little nuggets of nutritional goodness), wheat germ, dehydrated cane juice, and egg white.  2 tablespoons contains 170 calories, 9g or protein, and 4g fiber.  Intense almondy flavor for sure!

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars (flax seeds tend to get stuck in my teeth.  not very attractive.)
